She’s on her way to safety
It’s a sign of Lady Rosalia Armstrong’s desperation that she’s seeking refuge in a place as rugged and challenging as the Scottish Highlands. She doesn’t care about hardship and discomfort, if only she can become master of her own life. Laird Ciaran MacGregor, however, is completely beyond her control…
He redefines dangerous…
Ciaran MacGregor knows it’s perilous to get embroiled with a fiery Lowland lass, especially one as headstrong as Rosalia. Having made a rash promise to escort her all the way to Glengarry, now he’s stuck with her, even though she challenges his legendary prowess at every opportunity. When temptation reaches its peak, he’ll be ready to show her who he really is…on and off the battlefield.
This is a beautiful love story that will touch your heart. The author does a great job with her picturesque descriptions making it feel as if you are living in the Highlands with these characters. Rosalia comes from a abusive home but after she refuses to marry the man chosen for her she gets the beating of a lifetime and runs away to the Highlands to search out family in the north. She doesn't make it far before passing out from the pain of her injuries. Ciaran and his men find Rosalia unconscious, bruised and bloody. Luckily Ciaran is a true gentlemen with a kind heart and decides to help her any way he can including taking her back to his land to stay until Spring. Meantime a friendship between them blooms into love that neither one will admit to. On this journey to love there are some action packed scenes thrown in when it comes to their clans rivals.
I found this book to be a beautiful story with just enough action to keep you on your toes. This is definitely a entertaining read with even some humor thrown in. I would highly recommend this one to historical romance fans especially to fans of men in kilts.
